little small-find it hard to use because of size-did not like this striker-the striker did not work well at all-using a different striker that makes it work better-I do like the neck lanyard that makes it handy
Matthew R.
Works great. I wear this all the time at work. Very lightweight and great for a bug out bag.
Gardenia R.
Pairs great with a button down work shirt as well.
Peter L.
Really can't go wrong with Uberleben gear. Everything from them is top notch.
George H.
I keep my hunt farm keys on it. When at the farm it goes with me. And it works! Just plain cool. I have a couple
Bradley H.
Very nice and beautiful!
Mark B.
A bit undersized and overpriced but it works
Thor R.
Granted, it’s more of a conversational piece of man bling, but it does work well. I tried it right away and got a nice fire going in the second strike. I have attached mine to my bronze Mjolnir, as it avoids my wearing 2 separate things at once, and would also protect my shirt from the pointy part.
I like the weight, I think it looks neat, and that’s enough for me. I did shorten it somewhat, as it was too long for me. I usually carry at least 150 ‘ of survivorcord anyways, so a few inches makes no difference. An interesting online find, and a cool addition to my “tool jewellery collection” (this, paracord bracelet, tool watch, Fitbit, Leatherman Tread).
Jason B.
Is there a better addition to Uberleben product line than this. Great EDC carry, I always wear this FerroRod with my EDC carry.
mike s.
Bought these as stocking stuffers for my grandchildren, and they loved them!
Alexander J.
Nice easy to wear backup fire starter. I put a whistle on the lanyard as well. Compact and safe.
Steven L.
Very cool item looks great plus it could save you’re life .
Loretta M.
It’s a gift, so not sure what to say. Looks like a great gift for someone camps
Dennis C.
The Zunden Fire Starter works just as advertise. So, I bought two of the neck lanyard style, one for my daughters fiance (avid backpacker), and one for me.
Zaur A.
Great piece of equipment! Love it!
Michael c.
A great survival gift
Daniel L.
Neck lanyard is very compact yet works .its a must have.
Liam H.
Perfect item to get you out of a corner
David H.
Wife bought me this thinking it was cute and I'd probably like it, I love it working difficult to access areas to to service cell tower cooling system I used several times to light my torches. Nice lil item and most co workers believe it's a guitar pick.
Jeffrey H.
Looks great. Great conversation piece. I wear every day.
Robert V.
It's very handy and accessable if I need to use it.
matthew h.
Have to get used to it
Moses .
Striker is hard to handle and unless you hit the striker at a exact point The Sweet Spot it's very hard to get a spark
allen a.
Nice piece. Not too cheap in quality like ebay ones.
Greg M.
The scraper is not very effective. In fact I removed it and use another commercial scraper that seems to work better. In an emergency I think it is pretty doubtful that this would work well. It will be better than nothing but it would be best to bring a larger ferro rod.
Zack D.
Always happy with the quality products that I have purchased!
Ralph M.
Kind of a cool necklace plus fire starting tool. Fun to use as well!
Bryan A.
One thing that would make it even better and I am making one for each of mine) is a leather pouch that the blade fits in.
Carissa O.
Awesome little spark source. Seems like a no brainer to have a back up fire starter and this fits the bill very well.
Brandt S.
Great product. Higher quality than expected. Shipped fast. Love it!
János S.
Imádom. Igazi outdoor ékszer. Nagyon tetszik, hogy a kis méretéhez képest ugyanolyan jól használható.
Glen P.
Great way to start something!
Frank S.
Nice to have as a backup.
Darryl C.
Functional and very useful emergency fire starter.
Nathan R.
Just refreshed some of my gear and this little one has always been my trusty sidekick. Worst case scenario, If I ever lost my Zunden Fatty, I would still have this to get me through whatever else lay ahead. A must have for any backup plan.
Milton B.
I have a great emergency fire starter everywhere I go now with the Uberleben neck ferro rod and striker. Whether I am out hiking and want a nice cup of coffee or fishing from a pack raft and fall in the water, I can reliably start a fire to ensure my comfort and safety. I love this new Uberleben.
Richard P.
I haven't used it yet but I can tell you that when I leave the house it's around my kneck along with my kneck knife!!!!
I also would like to know when your going to have more cooking pots for sale??
Aubrey J.
I think it looks fashionable and stylish with my out door attire and attitude...the ladies in my family made a point of bringing that to my attention.
I've removed the clasp and use a barrel knot to fasten it around my neck - this makes the lace adjustable.
Daniel B.
Heavy duty sparks great !!
Jerry D.
Awesome little backup! Great to light up cotton balls with. I did however replace the lanyard with live fire gear’s Firecord. Seemed like a needed upgrade. Sorry Uberleben!! Lol
Edward M.
I like the quality, but haven't had the chance to use them yet.
Odean R.
Really like this except id like to see a metal clasp instead of the plastic.
Caleb F.
Fantastic piece of kit, highly recommend!
Quincy .
Awesome product i use it as part of my survival kit i wear when i am flying to or over remote ares. Its perfect and works great
Joseph P.
Uberleben products never cease to amaze me for their fine quality, simplicity and thought out design and function. I recently procured some neck worn ferro rods with strikers and they're cool as heck. A good friend at hunting camp took notice of it and talked me out of it. I immediately contacted you for a replacement. I also purchased a tinder wick that works flawlessly. Ignites on contact and is very fuel efficient. My current emergency kit is stoked with Uberleben products. They'll be there until somebody comes along with something better; hopefully you! Keep the faith and "Pura Vida!"
Art S.
Bought for my stepson he loves it. I got the fire wick to go.with it.
Joe H.
Products are all top shelf, quality items!
Very happy with!
Robert C.
I bought it for a Christmas gift for my brother.
Man Hin L.

Dennielle m.

Eric N.
Works great, Quality product
Ralph M.
Fantastic piece of kit, I wear it 24 hours a day !
Steve B.
Fantastic addition to my EDC
Eric N.
Love this little guy, great for EDC. Only thing I didn’t like was the teeth on the striker. It seemed to tear up the ferrell rod to much so I ground the teeth smooth..
William H.
Very convenient for any occasion for those on the go,cant beat the availability
Re G.
Received the Leicht fire starter lanyard in your promotion. Works with the Tindar wicks bellows just fine. You guys are great. One happy customer here.
Re G.
I received the Leicht Fire Starter lanyard styl 1(on a promotion) when I ordered the Tindar bellows refill pack. What a great deal. I will have it with me from now on, when outdoors. You guys are the best. Keep up the great work!
Jerry C.
Version 2 is an improvement
James A.
Another very good item for your back up fire starting, and it's very stylish with alot of function! Works every time I've tried to light the Tindar wick with the V2. Great piece of kit!
James A.
Worked at lighting the Tindar wick perfectly! Awesome
Eric A.
Going to use a lot
Eric A.
I didn’t like the sharp point on my neck
Colin C.
Perfect accessory for the open spaces...Very convenient!! Thx!!
Chandler M.
Moved it to a leather lanyard so the sweat doesn't corrode the 550 cord.
Robert R.
Great product. Excellent back up for a full size fire starter.
Gareth L.
I was super excited to get this and was going to purchase one for each family member. Once I got it and tried creating a spark I realised it was somewhat challenging for the kids when compared to other options.
It's not impossible though! I did successfully create a spark and light a fire but my feeling is that unless you like it as a neckless and are only going to use it for an emergency then you are better to choose one of the others offered from Überleben.
Joe P.
Great tool for Rocky Mountain NP
Burke K.
Very well made. Also Customer Service is awsome
Burke K.
Very well made. Also Customer Service is awsome
Jimmy l.
Really like the necklace fire starter. Have worn every day since I received it. Never know when you'll need it.
Alex B.
Very nice pocket or key-chain sized fire starter and striker. Sparks up nicely, and it's so light you will forget it is there until you need it.
Fred W.
Perfect EDC. Couldn’t be more satisfied.
michael o.
starts a fire in one or two strikes
David R.
Too big to conceal carry, great for over night pack. The coating is tough to get thru but once you do - sparks are flying!!!
David R.
Nice and small hidden easily. Striker very well designed. Rod a little to small to hold. Fits behind my neck knife very well. If I could figure out how to hold the Ferti rod firmly-5 star!!!
Dan C.
I like the idea of having a wearable fire striker as a last line of survival.
Chuck M.
Nice when your off the beaten path to have the means to start a fire that you don’t have to remember to put in your pocket (especially non smokers your not in the habit of grabbing a lighter when you go ) this doesn’t work as well the full size strikers they make which are great as well but you have this around your neck so it will be with you and it will start your fire if you do your part
George H.
We were trying to get a fire going and down to the last match. But wait, I have my handy dandy lanyard firestarter. Scrapped a little feral off and struck a few times onto the last match head and we had fire. This isn’t a big time camping story but we had a bushel of oysters to roast up!
I think this particular piece is more for an emergency as it is very small and you have to develop the right technic to get some decent sparks BUT, it works. Keep it with me in my truck always and when in the woods. I also have one of your huge feral stix. Love em both. Thx
Steve V.
Kind of hard to use.
