Works fantastic. Had to use it in a rain storm and performed just as it was designed to. Stuff it in your kit and go. Small, light, and easy to use.
Robert W.
This is great, catches a spark ray and has a good flame
Tara B.
Lit up on the first strike! Easy to use.
Alexander S.
Wish I had discovered this Sooner

The fire wick is a great idea and helps me quickly catch a spark from my Uberleben fire rod. I fray the end and hold it with my striker as I scrape the fire rod; presto! I usually get it the first strike saving my rod and permitting me to reach the flame into a stove or tinder to easily start a fire in tight place that is difficult to direct sparks into. Only complaint is I wish the hemp wicks were about twice as long. Thanks Uberleben!
Dana B.
I use a little brass brush to fray the ends, lights up first time, every time!!!
Robert N.
Great idea! It is easy to use, convenient to carry around and lights no problem. Great company thank you for being in Idaho.
Lukas G.
Lights shit on fire
Wade C.
I love this this makes fire building as easy as striking a mach. Or for you young folks as easy as flicking your bic. Awsome and to your fire kit
john p.
This thing works too easy. Been trying to master real flint and steel. Still have a long way to go with it. Bought the Uberleben firesteel and tinder wick to see what all the hype was about. No effort required to get a flame. Not an EMBER, a FLAME! Going to keep my Uberleben stashed for a worst case senario. Awesome product. I highly recommend it.
Dr. George C.
Bought it for my teenage son and he thought it was super cool so that made Dad super cool.
Catherine M.
I gave this as a gift along with the fire starter. Both were quite a hit! Perfect for my outdoor-loving cousin who prefers practical gifts. He can be difficult to buy for, but this year your items made it easy to please him. Thank you!
Robert B.
What a great tool for starting a fire, far superior to a match (easier to start and much easier to handle) and on a recent winter camping trip, I was attempting to start my alcohol burner stove, and thought I I will just I use a lighter, nope, wouldn’t start. Instead I used the tindar and got it to light right up!
Mike H.
Turned right around and bought another one. Guess that means I liked it! Showed it to my buddy and he bought one too!
Jonathan P.
Tindar wick is easy to lite. A couple scratches to the Wick with the knife. A spark from the ferro rod, and flame is made. It really is that easy to get a flame. And this is from a complete novice in this arena. I am looking forward to improving my outdoors skills. This product will a valuable tool in my outdoor adventures.
Jamal D.
Very quick to light, very needed here in Ireland when everything is wet! Will always be with me on my camping trips :)
Jason B.
This is my third time ordering from Uberleben, great quality products, I’ve added them to multiple BOB bags, vehicle kits, and EDC bags. They are a vital piece of gear to survival.
Cecil J.
I have used the tindar wick and hexa fire starter for the last month building the daily fire. A little practice makes your efficiency better, fire on the first or second strike. Replacing the fire starters in my day pack and in my sons emergency kit in an Alaskan bush plane.
Barbara B.
My kids are bike packers. Love the fire starter.
James H.
I have my 12 year old Grandson, who is getting into camping, the stove for Christmas and it worked perfectly and we were able to start the fire after a few tries . . . we did use a little newspaper.
Frank S.
Perfect companion for Hexagon Fire Starter! Allows for more efficient fire starting.
This is a ideal component to include with your Bushcrafter Kit.
Allen S.
I really liked it used it for many months now I can't find it what a bummer maybe Santa will be good to me
Alexander J.
Best way to use and compact. Ignites easily and burns a long time. Tube makes an excellent directed air stream. Great product!
Brenda S.
Haven’t had a chance yet to use all of my new gear but I am very impressed with the quality of everything I’ve purchased and I think I’ve bought at least one of everything so far! Can’t wait for spring to head out camping!
James T.
Easy to carry emergency tinder when all in your world is wet.
Michael c.
Started with a couple sparks and burned steady
David W.
The wick works really good if you have a bag of tender, thank you
James M.
Great for my get home bag.
Brian H.
The Tindar wick works quite well! As a novice bushcrafter I was easily able to light the wick with my new Zunden fire starter and get a quick fire going. It stays lit long enough for me to hold the wick in my left hand as I am stacking twigs on my lit tinder. I could also cut a bit of the wick off and fluff it up to create dry tinder. I have no doubt it is going to be a great part of my fire kit.
Shawn T.
Light with your ferro rod and use just like a match you can move wherever you need it. Plus its basically waterproof, so bring on the rain and when you're done just slide the shield to snuff it out.
Donn A.
You know what it looks like. But here’s a hot meal that would have been about 26.7 times harder to do with matches.
One strike with the Fatty; and a good long ‘soak’ of the kind no match can do. A small blaze at the end of the wick that the bellow extinguished with aplomb. Then...That bellow puts the best air-for-size ratio on the firebox of any I have used.
Get this if you cook with wood. Period.
Neil S.
Haven't used the items yet, but plan to in near future.
John M.
Incredible piece of equipment!!! Used on a daily basis and has become a standard for home and mountain. Great teacher for beginners using a ferro rod and trusted item for those experienced. Would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Tindar Wick Rocks!!!
Brahm P.
Made a gift of the Hexa rod, wicks, and bellow. Very nice set of products. Everything works and appears to be of the highest quality. Liked the idea, liked the profile of the company, happy with the shipping and more than satisfied with these products as a nice, unconventional gift. Definitely recommend.
Jack B.
This tinder is very well made & takes a spark very easy. I just bought a three pack replacement because I love it so good. Thanks for making a great product.
Edward Z.
Prepare your tinder, fray the cord end and strike the rod. Carefully directing the sparks onto the fray will result in a quick fire. Now move that flame to your tinder. It's that easy. Every camper and hiker needs to carry this just in case or to make fire starting a whole lot easier.
Jerry F.
took a lot of sparks to get it going.
Michael B.
Great for tinder lighting.
Otamay H.
I use the wick and sparker to start fires in my woodstove. It's not quite as easy as it looks, but I'm getting it! I love that I don't have to buy matches or anything with plastic to make fire!
Joseph W.
Quick to catch a spark
Natasha R.
Awesome! As good if not better than I expected. I still need to field test it but, so far I'm completely satisfied
Damon D.
Tindar wick & bellow is a nice to have item in my fire kit. Works great in combination with Zunden fire starter rod.
Adrian D.
If you feather the end, it lites quite easily.
Nassim J.
I love it, waterproof, very convenient & looks cool!
Bob S.
I’m sharing my experience because you stupid review code won’t let me out of my screen without resetting my phone. So screw you!
Brent D.
Love this thing, better than a match/lighter.
Giovanni T.
I’m waiting for a 1”Ferro Rod! Other companies are doing it, I know because I have bought them already. I like what your company offers but you need to expand! I’ve talked to family and friends and they’re also ready to buy a 1” ferro rod, that’s good quality and well packaged with a high quality striker. Make it happen!!! We don’t know how long COVID-19 is going to last!!! We need fire if we need to go homestead!!!!!!!!
Stephen H.
Fluffed up the bitter end and it caught a spark right away. A welcome addition to a daypack or BOB.
Chad C.
It’s cool , and works as intended .
John T.
right now thesis the only way I can start the fire, I am a rookie at the ferro rod.
william r.
Been using uberleben gear for a year now and have never been let down. Great company great people. You won’t be disappointed. Extremely helpful staff.
Wayne H.
Went straight from the trial run into my bug out bag
Marc B.
Great product, so much better than using a lighter!
Thomas K.
The last fire tools you'll buy. I love them
Bryan A.
A smart idea would be to make your tube out of striker material or have it imbedded in the side of the tube. Thanks, I know it is a great idea! How much is it worth to you? Patent pending!
Chris P.
Love all of my gear! It looks great and more importantly it functions perfectly.
Christopher B.
Here is what I did with 2 of my fire starters so they will always be onhand.
Love these now they will always be on hand.
Cheryl N.
My husband has loved everything he has got from here
Jason F.
Super easy to light, super easy to extinguish, super convenient to carry. Just like the rest of Uberleben's stuff it's well made, well thought out, easy to use, and sturdy.
Daniel K.
Great item works well.
Pedro H.
What every fire kit needs! Fast, reliable and epic design!
Mark P.
I'm glad I found this combo !!
Once I figured out how to weave the wick around the striker it only takes seconds to get flame.
Pretty sure I see these being used on the History Channel show ALONE.
Very practical and effective
Bryan M.
I was really impressed and stoked at how well it started
Veikko M.
Good piece of kit
Jesus N.
Pretty cool fire tool. I thought it was made to strike! LoL I guess I’ll starve and freeze to death!
Jay C.
Great product takes a spark first time every time.
Brian C.
Great all around product!!
Frank S.
Works great and it’s much better than a match.
Corey R.
Excellent product!!
Edward S.
Found works well in wet weather, of the pacific northwest
Lightweight: is part of my edc for wood walking in combo with small fixed blade knife both carried in a small leather pocket sheath.
For me the easiest way to get fire going in combo with small fire steel.
Marlon A.
super handy to have.
Curtiss C.
Match, lighter or ferrocium rod it ignites and burns as long as you need it to for you fire to go from a wish to reality. It fits in a pouch a pocket or a pen sleeve on a pack for convenient access. I keep mine in a slim pocket on a knife sheath with a striker and a Uberleben Hexa ferrocium rod. Not a lot of money for the convenience it offers you in fire starting.
Erick N.
This bellow works great and will be be a staple in my backpack , camping equipment and living history gear.
samuel c.
Great product and top service from Uberleben !
Tim S.
I was able to fray the ends very easily and spark an ember glow with just 4 strikes on my 6"Hexagon ferro rod,
which I had purchased from your company previously. Utilizing the 'bellow' staff,I was impressed by the increased airflow, which expedited the onset of a flame. A 'must have',especially for the hiker/backpacker,hunter,outdoorsman,survivalist or in your SNAP(Situation Not As Planned) bag beside your first-aid kit,in every vehicle that you own.
Noe A.
This Tindar Wick + Bellow works wonders, I'm still amazed at how easy and useful this product is. I'm so thankful for this work of art. Thank you so much Überleben!
Herb S.
Great flame extender!
Darryl C.
Lights quickly and extinguished just as easily when needed. I love it .
Phil H.
No more making char cloth out of my old underwear. No more black soot in my tinder box. Lights quickly with my Ferro Stick.
Easier and cleaner than char cloth to use.
George R J.
The tindar wick an Bello looks awesome I can't wait to use it. I live in the city and don't get away like I want but I'm working on it and in the meantime acquiring all my much needed gear. Can't wait till you get restocked on your Ti twig stove's. I gotta have one. Thanks, George Jr.
Kimberly M.
Quality product. Couldn’t be happier.
Dennis M.

Todd B.
Works as quick as advertised. Easy to light.
Brian M.
Worked amazingly.
Justin F.
Only used it once, a little slow to light, buy works really well, goes good with my tiny collapsible stove kit.
Karen M.
Love this, it makes starting the fire so easy.
Charles W.
I first seen this fire starter on youtube and I was very impressed! It's so easy to carry this instead of tender. I mean this gives you a definite advantage because of the extended time you have to light your fire! I definitely recommend to everybody that goes out into all weather conditions. It's a no brainer. Chasly
Jeremy T.
It burned perfected.
